Functional Lab Testing

There are six main labs that I use to address underlying hidden stressors. There are additional labs that we can add, if needed, to dive deeper into uncovering your health concerns.

  • Salivary Hormone Panel (SHP)

This test checks your saliva for hormones to understand things like stress, reproductive health, and overall hormone balance. It's easy to do at different times of the day, helping us see how your hormones change throughout the day, at night, and your overall sleep routine.

  • Metabolic Wellness Panel (MWP)

This panel focuses on three key aspects: digestion, detoxification, and cellular health. It assesses how well your digestive system is processing food, ensuring that your body receives the necessary nutrients. It also shows how well the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas are working to eliminate toxins. The panel also identifies if there are any signs of cell damage and accelerated aging.

  • Mucosal Barrier Assessment (MBA)

This test checks the health of your gut lining. A healthy gut lining is crucial for digestion and preventing bad bacteria to invade. If it's not in good shape, it can lead to problems such as, bacterial overgrowth, digestion and nutrition issues. This test helps us figure out how to keep your digestive system healthy.

  • GI MAP

This panel tests the potential overgrowth of bad bacteria and imbalances in the gut. It provides insight of the GI tract, helping us to pinpoint issues like inflammation, immunity, gluten sensitivity, viral infections, bacterial overgrowth, H pylori, and parasitic infections. It targets issues so we can restore a healthy balance of gut bacteria and improve overall digestive function.

  • Mediator Release Test (MRT)

This test is used to identify food and chemical sensitivities that may contribute to inflammation and allergies. Unlike traditional IgE-based allergy tests, MRT is a blood test that measures changes in white blood cell reactivity to a wide range of foods. What's surprising is that you don't have to have a reaction or symptoms to have inflammation. You could be eating healthy foods that are actually causing inflammation without you even knowing it! This test is a great way to find that out.

  • Metabolic Type Diet (MT Diet)

This test provides dietary recommendations based on an individual's unique response to how much protein, fat, and carbs they should eat. By combining genetic insights with metabolic data, it can help guide clients toward a diet that optimally supports their metabolism, help with weight management, and overall well-being.
